What is your scope of services ?

Eurofins Malaysia provides chemical testing, physical testing, mechanical testing and microbiological examination for various types of samples. Besides, Eurofins Malaysia also provides consultation services for specific fields such as occupational safety and health and failure analysis.

What type of samples can your laboratory analyse ?

Eurofins Malaysia provides analysis services for environmental samples (water, waste water, air etc), food & drugs, animal feeds & fertilizers, industrial & commercial products, oil and fats, material characterization & failure analysis, rubber and latex, metal products & ores, recycled materials etc. Please refer to SERVICES section for details.

Are your laboratories recognized internationally ?

Yes. Eurofins NM Laboratory Sdn. Bhd. and Eurofins North Malaya Laboratory Sdn. Bhd. are MS ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratories by STANDARD MALAYSIA, while Eurofins NM Laboratory Sdn. Bhd.  (Johor Branch) which was setup in 2012 is in the process of getting the same accreditation.

Eurofins NML laboratories accredited under ISO/IEC 17025 are also certified by ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) through STANDARDS MALAYSIA (ILAC member). This certification by ILAC is a recognition that our laboratories' quality management system is also meeting the principles of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System – Requirements, as stated in the Joint IAF-ILAC-ISO Communiqué (January 2009).

Does Eurofins Malaysia advise on suitable analytical method applicable to my sample ?

Yes. The analysis method to be used depends on your objective of testing, to whom you would like the report to be submitted to and also the sample nature and condition. The discussion on the suitable analysis method should be conducted with our consultants prior to the engagement of our services.

What are the test methods used in your laboratory ?

Standard methods (APHA, ASTM, BS, EN etc) will be used if available. However upon customer request, customer's in-house method can be employed for testing.

How much sample is needed for my analysis ?

The amount of sample required varies from analysis to analysis and it is also depends on the number of parameters to be tested. The amount of sample required will be stated in the quotation issued by our sales team. This can also be confirmed with our sales team and consulting chemist prior to sample delivery to our laboratory or sample collection by our dispatch team.

Do I need to preserve my samples ?

Preservation is needed for degradable samples such as environmental sample (waste water, air and soil), food and drugs and samples for microbiological testing etc. Kindly contact our consulting chemists for proper preservation method (sample type and test parameter dependent) prior to sampling and sample delivery.

Does Eurofins Malaysia provide customized services ?

Yes. If you have a problem which is beyond Eurofins Malaysia’s current scope of services, do contact our consultants for they will be ready to listen to your special needs, study your problems and then to provide professional advise / recommendations for your consideration.

Some of the customized services that we are providing are setting up of QC laboratory, laboratory staff training, study of new products, product failure analysis/investigation etc.

What is the lead time for testing (inclusive of test report issuance) ?

Typically, testing plus the issuance of test report takes 3-14 days depending on the complexity of the tests and also the volume of samples involved. If you need the results urgently, do inform our team upon sample submission for us to make special arrangement to cater for your special needs.

Does Eurofins Malaysia provides testing services globally ?

Yes, we provide testing services to organization all over the world such as Canada, Japan, USA etc. However most of our customers are from South East Asia region.

Does Eurofins Malaysia provide environmental sampling services at East Malaysia ?

Yes. Our competent personnel from technical team is able to perform sampling on site in East Malaysia, preserve the samples and delivery them back to our laboratory for analysis.

Is sample collection service available ?

Yes. Arrangement can be done by Sales and Marketing Department upon request. However service charge may be imposed with certain term & conditions.

How and when should I pay for the analysis charges ?

Analysis charges can be paid by cash upon sample submission and before the commencement of testing. However, with pre-agreement with Eurofins Malaysia, analysis will be conducted in the presence of a valid PO (Purchase Order) issued by your organisation.

What need to be done prior to engaging testing services by Eurofins Malaysia ?

We encourage customers to discuss with our consultants on test details prior to sampling and sample delivery if technical advice is needed. This is followed by the issuance of an official quotation for your consideration. Once decided on engaging our services, you can contact our sales personnel/consulting chemist for confirmation. Sufficient amount of sample (as stated in the quotation) in proper packaging should be delivered to our laboratory (by post or walk-in) . If sample collection service is required, arrangement can be made with sales personnel. Payment in cash is required prior to the commencement of testing unless payment term applies.   

How many reports will I receive for my analysis ? Is report in e-copy available ?

For every sample submitted, one official report with unique report number will be issued unless requested otherwise by customer up-front before engaging our testing service. The official report includes an e-copy report and one printed report (hardcopy).

Eurofins Malaysia encourage our customers to obtain only the e-copy report if a printed copy is not necessary.

Can I use Eurofins Malaysia test report for legal proceedings (Court Case) ?
